From Eck Robertson, 1929, who famously said “Here’s a tune no other fiddler plays but me!” Fiddle is tuned GDGB. Dewey Balfa recorded J’étais au Bal using this tuning with fiddlesticks, and I always thought it would be fun to do the same with Grigsby’s Hornpipe.
