about
Bob Douglas of St. Paul, MN has been a mandolin hero of mine since he played with the Powdermilk Biscuit Band and the New Prairie Ramblers in the early days of the Prairie Home Companion radio show. He introduced me to these tunes in 1980, saying “I’ll just play some reels and see what happens.” This medley popped out.
